Information and awareness is the greatest weapon against child abuse

The Vice President for Women and Family Affairs emphasized that no one should commit crimes such as violence against children or underestimate the concubine of children with irresponsible parents and should immediately inform the relevant agencies, and said, "Information and awareness is the greatest weapon against child abuse."

Dr. Masoumeh Ebtekar, Vice President for Women and Family Affairs, said in response to the news about a concubine telegram channel and a conversation between the admin of this channel and one of the clients for concubines for girls under 15, "The case was immediately referred to the relevant agencies and institutions for investigation and the matter is being investigated."

Systems 123 and 110 are the reference for informing social harms

In response to what actions should be taken to prevent a recurrence of this situation, the Dr. Ebtekar said, "We urge people to report immediately wherever they see such cases because informing and raising awareness is the biggest weapon against these abuses."

She emphasized, "No one should underestimate the issue and know that whenever such crimes and even violence against a child, a woman, the elderly or any human being occur, they must be informed."

Referring to systems 123 and 110, Dr. Ebtekar stated, "These systems are responsive to such issues. The media also have an important role to play in this regard, and they should be appreciated for their sense of responsibility in the face of such bad news."
