Massoumeh Ebtekar focused on communication skills, national family dialogue, and intergenerational dialogue is helping us to achieve the goals of the Constitution, the Charter of Civil Rights, current laws, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child, reducing the drop-out rate and so on.
The twelfth seasonal special children's rights school of Mazandaran province was held with the virtual presence of Dr. Masoumeh Ebtekar, Vice President for Women and Family Affairs, Mahmoud Abbasi, Deputy of Human Rights and International Affairs, and Hassan Kherianpour, Deputy Governor of Mazandaran.
Dr. Ebtekar in this event, which was held in the form of a video conference, highlighted issues such as child neglect, child labor, child abuse in cyberspace, and the effects of war and armed conflict on children at the international level. She described the steps taken by the government to achieve the goals of the Constitution, the Charter of Civil Rights, current laws, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child, reducing the drop-out rate, addressing the problems of dropouts in Coronavirus and government and civil efforts to provide tablets and mobile phones. She also said, "The last step in this regard was the support campaign, which was formed in cooperation with the Ministry of Education."
The Vice President further spoke about the discussion of good living skills in education, which will be implemented in 12 areas with the cooperation of the Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs, and added, "Attention to communication skills, national family dialogue, and intergenerational dialogue are among the other actions of the Vice Presidency, and in the podcasts of Nasl Radio, we have specifically addressed the need to review the methods of intergenerational dialogue."
Dr. Ebtekar stated, "Fortunately, in our country, the law for the protection of children and adolescents has been announced this year, which has made possible the division of government work and the cooperation of different executive departments."
In the end, Dr. Ebtekar stressed the need for institutional and civil society participation to improve the situation of children's rights and said, "Defending the rights of the child and whatever we do for children today is an investment in the bright future of our country."
In another part of the meeting, Mahmoud Abbasi, Deputy of Justice, spoke about the need to pay attention to children's rights and the coordination and cooperation of executive agencies, and the participation of non-governmental organizations and child rights activists.
Hassan Kherianpour, Deputy Governor of Mazandaran for Economic Affairs, also said in this meeting, "According to the mission of governments to achieve the principle of socialization, we must take advantage of all the existing capacities of the province and actual and potentials to empower children and adolescents with spirituality and knowledge as two important wings to complete socialization and Introduce children and adolescents to life skills."
The twelfth school of child rights was organized by the national authority of the Convention on the Rights of the Child based in the Ministry of Justice, hosted by Mazandaran province and virtually with the presence of child rights activists and general managers of provinces, headquarters, and academics.
