The first meeting of the Planning Council of the Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs was held in the year 1400. In this meeting, Dr. Masoumeh Ebtekar, referring to the implementation of one of the projects to promote social resilience in cooperation with the Iran Drug Control Headquarters in 13 provinces that have the highest risk of addiction, said, "This plan has a preventive aspect and empowers the family and strengthens its supportive and protective role."
The Vice President stated, "We hope to be able to generalize and implement this plan in all provinces of the country in the year 1400, and to achieve this goal, what is important is to empower organizations and facilitators and train them."
Dr. Ebtekar expressed the hope that all provinces will create capacity for specialized and experienced facilitators to develop and implement the necessary plans in the form of a document to improve the status of women and the family.
Referring to the goal of implementing social resilience promotion projects that have been implemented so far in more than 2,000 neighborhoods in the country, the vice president said, "In this plan, the target community recognizes its ability to change the situation with its will."
Dr. Ebtekar stated that the Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs has cooperated with about 200 NGOs on various issues so far and added, "Organizations participating in Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs empowerment courses, because of the knowledge they gain, can be prioritized to implement projects."
Dr. Ebtekar also noted that providing financial resources while being independent and motivating volunteers are two important challenges for NGOs and said, "The difference between NGOs is in the quality of work, type of management, good productivity and high motivation of the workforce."
In this meeting, Nesa Zadeh Noviri, Director-General of the Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs Coordination, reminding that the issue of promoting social resilience was defined and implemented under the agreement with the Iran Drug Control Headquarters last year, said, "The project is envisaged in two phases, the first of which is the training of local analysts and with the help of governorates and NGOs, we were able to train 273 local facilitators and facilitators and teach them general topics and concepts."
She stated that the time of this course ended on March 17, 2021, "The second part is fieldwork training, where analysts learn how to make social interventions without the slightest harm."
In this meeting, the plans for the year 1400 were presented and discussed.
